Lambs Wool for Foot Care
Lambs wool is one of the most effective materials available for cushioning toes and preventing the development of blisters. In addition to these benefits, foot care specialists can use lambs wool padding for toe separating and pain relief purposes. This is because the material effectively alleviates pressure and friction, allows air to flow between the toes, and protects your patients’ feet from blisters and injuries.
To apply lambs wool padding for toes, providers simply need to take a section of the material that’s five to six inches long and about one inch wide. Push the material to the base of the toes and weave it up and down to create cushioning. Lambs wool should be removed at night, but patients can reuse each piece for a few days at a time. This makes it a cost-effective option for everyday foot care that podiatric professionals can encourage their patients to use.
