Lumicain Topical Hemostatic Solution
For a safe and effective way to control minor hemorrhaging and stop bleeding that occurs accidentally during nail or callus debridement, there’s no better solution than Lumicain Topical Hemostatic. This granulation tissue treatment contains aluminum chloride in an aqueous base (250 mg/gram) to ensure rapid recovery. Dispensed in a reusable solution bottle (not a single-use bottle); remember: infection control is critical.

Recommended use in routine foot care:
Method One: Use a cotton swab or Q-Tip. Soak well in the bottle then apply the swab to the area of bleeding. Make sure to use a new swab/Q-Tip each time you apply more solution. It may take several swabs to apply enough solution to achieve hemostasis.
Method Two: Pour a small amount of solution into a second container such as a small paper cup. This then becomes the one-patient portion.
With whatever method you choose, do not push hard or scrub the area with the swab. Simply use the swab to get the solution onto the wounded area. It is ok to touch the skin with the swab or gently roll it over the area, but do not rub it on with force. We also do not recommend that you pour the solution directly onto a piece of gauze: There is too high a chance of the gauze touching the rim of the bottle opening and contaminating the entire bottle.
