Wash the affected area with soap and water and dry thoroughly before applying.

For Thick Fungal Toenails:
If you are applying this on your toenails, be sure to "rough up" the surface of the nail. This is necessary in order for the medication to penetrate down into the nail and reach the fungus. You may do this with a standard Emery board. Use the Emery board carefully on the top surface of the nail just enough to create a slightly rough surface. Be careful not to over sand and cause any bleeding. If you do, clean the area well with antiseptic and consult your physician.

For Athletes Foot Between the Toes:
Apply to affected skin between and around the toes twice a day for 4 weeks - morning and night, or as directed by a physician.

Wear well fitting, ventilated shoes:
Change shoes and socks at least once daily.
